Cookab Hashemi

Cookab Hashemi is currently the Senior Director for Federal Government Affairs and Advocacy at Gilead Sciences, a research-based biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of innovative medicines. Prior to her position at Gilead, Cookab served as the Chief of Staff for Representative Raul Ruiz (CA-36) from September 2015 to February 2017 and the Chief of Staff for Representative Jackie Speier (CA-14) from June 2008 to August 2015. She received her B.S. in Political Science and Government from the University of Maryland.
